2000 GUINEAS 1828

The 20th winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Tuesday 22nd April 1828 over the Rowley Mile, was Cadland (5/2), a Brown colt by Andrew out of Sorcery, owned by the 5th Duke of Rutland, who won by a head. A field of 5 runners contested the race which was worth 2700 Guineas (Equivalent to £275,600 in 2017)
